NOTE:
Non-Washington Trips
This is dedicated to all those who, for whatever reason, did not have the experience of going on
a Washington trip.
Many did not, due to WWII, when Washington trips were not allowed.
The class of 1950 was not allowed to have a trip due to the misconduct of previous groups.
However, a few bucked principal Arthur Reynolds's ruling and went anyway: Naemi Lund, Joyce Rogers,
Alice Lessard, Norma Clark, Stuart Finlay, John Hathorne, Barry Wilcox, and Eddie Clark.
Unfortunately, those who didn't go missed some rare experiences, not all of them educational.
When people talk about their trips, they seldom mention how impressive the monuments and museums were, and how tall the Empire State Building was.
Many mention what an amazing thing the Automart was in New York City, in that you could see a sandwich or a piece of pie in a little plastic cubicle, put in a quarter , open the door, and take out the item.
What were the highlights of
your trip?
