'New' Orleans High School

A Tribute to Excellence...

...and maybe a bit of mischief

My Recollections

By Christie Munsey Turner - Class of 1958

Decorated Windows:

"I believe it was in 1952-1955 the art department, with the help of other students, would paint all the windows in the front of the school building with Christmas scenes and the lights would be left on at night so the windows would look like stained glass. The art students would also paint windows on Main Street.
There may be someone who remembers the exact years this was done and for how many years."

OHS Students consisted of members of the "Greatest Generation" and their children.
